Kristalnacht is a terrible incident that happened in November 1938. Nazi gangs came and trashed a Jewish town, and killed anyone that was in there way. This night was called Kristalnacht. The name Kristalnacht means crystal glass, People gave the event this name because there was so much glass on the floor, that it looked like crystals.
The Germans where terrible, and they needed a lie to cover up all there traitorous things, so they made propaganda, this is a poster or a video of what people want to believe, but it is all lies. You could see children looking at a posters of horrible ugly man, named as Jews, this is what Hitler wanted, he wanted everyone to hate the jews as much as he did, he said they where greedy and mean, and horrible. In 1933 30,000 Jews where taken to the first camp, in Dachau, and anyone who tried to speek up was killed, even if you where not a jew, Hitler and his army was not going to let anyone or anything get in there way.
About 2,500 and more died in the camp. At the beginning of 1936 many laws where made restricting Jews from there habitas. This made people think the where dirty and un suitable to be about. ID cards where order for the jews, so that someone always knew he or she was a jew. Hitler set 9 rules that the Jews would follow or punishment would be held on them. These laws were:
- Jews were required to turn over all precious metals to the government.
- Pensions for Jews dismissed from civil service jobs were arbitrarily reduced.
- Jewish-owned bonds, stocks, jewelry and art works can be alienated only to the German state.
- Jews were physically segregated within German towns.
- A ban on the Jewish ownership of carrier pigeons.
- The suspension of Jewish driver's licenses.
- The confiscation of Jewish-owned radios.
- A curfew to keep Jews of the streets between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. in the summer and 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the winter.
- Laws protecting tenants were made non-applicable to Jewish tenants.
Hitler was going to do anything to make there lives miserable, until the day they died. He would make terrible propaganda, and the children would be terrified of, even if that someone wasent a monster at all.
when I think about what life would have been like if I were a Jew, and how I would have felt when the Nazi came and killed my friends and family, and then trashed my home, I would have felt hopeless, and weak, I would just wanted to die right there.
